World Intellectual Property Day

The World Intellectual Property Day, implemented by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), is celebrated every year on 26th April with the primary purpose of stimulating innovation and creativity, also promoting the role of Intellectual Property (IP).
Each year, this day focuses on a different subject related to IP, this year’s edition being dedicated to “Women and IP: Accelerating innovation and creativity”. The intention of this theme is to give visibility to the role of women in the IP ecosystem, stressing their contributions and actions to the evolution of society. At the same time, it aims at encouraging more women to use the IP system in order to protect and add value to their work.
